The team's opinion: The Alexander Pedals Sky 5000 is a UFO. If you're a fan of dated 80's/90's sounds, this one is for you! Behind its retro Sci-FI look hides a fearsome Reverb/Delay pedal. Indeed, the Sky 5000 has two Reverb and Delay processors routed in parallel, and each processor offers three parameters, for a number of rather impressive combinations.

For the Reverb, Synth Wave aficionados will be in heaven thanks to a Shimmer effect and the possibility of octavising everything. Cot Delay is also very provided! The pedal goes from a first mode of a bright digital effect, with a lot of presence, to a second in an analog and more colorful style and finally a third very dark and slightly distorted.

The best thing about all of this? The Sky 5000 allows you to use Reverb and Delay at the same time, for completely crazy combinations. As you will have understood, this effect pedal is a success, but it will not suit all guitarists! Indeed, the Alexander Pedals Sky 5000 is made for experimentation and assumed “dated” effects. It will never replace a more classic reverb or delay like the One Control Sea Turquoise.
