The team's opinion: The Big Joe B-103 Analog Delay is an analog/hybrid delay pedal with a very vintage character but rather modern design!
Its strengths? Exemplary warmth and definition thanks to its “parallel” circuit. Indeed, the Wet signal comes to stick to the dry to keep a good articulation of the notes (yes it is rather important).
Its repetition time ranges from 30ms to 600ms (the maximum for an analog delay). It is therefore possible to use it slapback style, for vintage rock or on the contrary to obtain a long enough repetition time to create a particular atmosphere.
Its components still give it a strong sound identity, it is not a transparent delay. It is primarily aimed at lovers of vintage sounds. Small bonus! The Big Joe B-103 Analog Delay has a second output for use in stereo! A rather unusual feature on this type of reference.
Unlike more complex models like the Seymour Duncan Andromeda, the Big Joe remains very easy to use and will satisfy plug & play enthusiasts. This is a rather rare effect pedal on the second-hand market!
