The team's opinion: The Death by Audio Reverberation Machine is an amazing reverb pedal. Indeed, it was designed to deliver very atmospheric sounds, perfectly suited to Post-Rock or Lo-fi.
Its atypical settings allow it to achieve sounds rarely equaled in the field of reverb. In addition to the traditional volume and intensity knobs, the “triangle” brings the final touch.
Indeed, by pushing the latter, you will cause the echo to saturate. At a minimum, this brings a welcome warmth, and the higher you go, the more you will find a saturated and deliberately altered echo (old vhs style).
Where the guys at Death by Audio got smart was with the “bright” and “dark” switch. Depending on the guitar, you can go from bright to more subdued in a snap of your fingers. This will compensate for the garish side of a Telecaster for example, or on the contrary lighten up a Les Paul.
As you will have understood, this Death by Audio Reverberation Machine is not a transparent reverb! If you are looking for something simpler, I invite you to turn to the JHS Alpine. On the other hand, if you are looking for a very typical effect, designed for experimentation, this pedal is for you.
The pedal offered here is in near new condition and sold with its original box. As usual, find our effects pedals in action on our channel Youtube.
