Dr. Scientist Radical Red Mini Reverberator

The team's opinion: The Dr. Scientist Radical Red Mini Reverberator has a very long name (yes, that's a fact). But it is above all an excellent Reverb pedal. Finally, a “multi-reverb” pedal.

Indeed, the great strength of the latter is to offer several types of reverberations within the same box, 10 to be precise, yes.

I'm not going to detail them all, but the latter randomly embeds a Hall, Plate or even several types of Room type reverb. I am often suspicious of “All in one” pedals because in many cases only 2 or 3 effects are convincing and the other means. Here, all modes are usable and damn effective!

My preference is for the “Bright Plate” mode reminiscent of the Abbey Road sound or the Hall mode which quickly becomes very present. Given the number of possibilities, you can imagine, the Dr. Scientist Radical Red Mini Reverberator is a digital pedal. However, the 24-bit DSP is as efficient as it is quiet.

The controls of this pedal remain quite classic and you will therefore not be disoriented by their interactions. It really is a high-end effect pedal and very rare on the second-hand market. This is a good alternative to the more classic Z Cat Big Reverb.
