DV Mark Mini Drive

The team's opinion: Did you know that DV Mark, specialist in bass amps, made guitar effects pedals? Now yes ! After their interpretation of the Tube Screamer, the Italian brand decided to release a mini format distortion a few years ago. The result, a compact, endearing and very successful pedal. Mini size does not mean poor quality. The Mini Drive is handmade in Italy and will satisfy guitarists looking for a slightly overdriven sound. However, behind its name distortion, the Mini Drive is more an overdrive than a distortion. The sound is similar to a Marshall Plexi, but slightly "darker". In our opinion, this pedal was designed to do justice to single coil pickups. Indeed, with a Stratocaster and Telecaster, the "dark" side is instantly erased by the slamming of the single coils. Quite naturally, we found that the timbre of this Mini Drive perfectly corrected the overly present (even garish) highs of certain guitars (Jaguar, Telecaster). With double coils, the result is also interesting, but we recommend pushing the tone beyond 2/3 for optimal results. A pedal that has now become rare, as few copies have been produced.
