The team's opinion: With its Multidrive, EBS offers bass players a rather versatile effect pedal. Indeed, as its name suggests, the Multidrive has been designed to deliver 3 types of saturation: The first, called Tubesim, reproduces the behavior of a tube amp. The 2nd, Standard, delivers a higher gain and emulates the behavior of transistor technology. Finally, the 3rd and last adjustment, called Flat, does not add any particular character.
The advantage of this switch will be to offer a different frequency staging, thus drastically modifying your equalization. The pedal still offers a good level of gain and can venture into the fuzz register without worry.
Special mention to the small push button located on the edge of the pedal. The latter will allow you to use an active or passive bass without volume concerns. The EBS Multidrive is intended for bass players looking for flexibility at the expense of character.
