The opinion of the team: It is with pleasure that we offer for sale this sublime EHX Hot Tubes with lamps! Yes the original model of the great era! The least we can say is that saturation fans will be thrilled.

The Hot Tube is in a way the Swiss army knife of the drive! Its 2 lamps (12ax7) allow it an inimitable warmth and also to use it as a preamp. Sound level, that's where it's going.

Minimum gain, we find ourselves on a very organic and dynamic overdrive. We feel that we have it under our feet. The higher you go, the more the grain will reveal itself. Halfway through, we end up with a very thick, powerful and terribly vintage distortion. Gain all the way, and well… you will almost have a big muff, but much more dynamic. It is really by pushing it that the latter gives its superb.

What's cool about this effect pedal is its master volume. You can drive it completely overdrive at a decent volume! The 2-band equalization is also a big plus, because you will be able to sculpt your sound with precision according to your amp/guitar pair.

The EHX Hot Tubes is an excellent effect pedal for lovers of big sounds. This model is becoming very rare on the second-hand market.
