The team's opinion: The Formula B Rat Race is a boutique version of the legendary Proco Rat! If there's one distortion we love more than anything, it's the Rat.

Unfortunately the current versions from Proco are not at the level of the illustrious ancestor. This is where the Formula B brand comes in. An Italian boutique brand reproducing legendary models, but with original components!

The Rat Race is therefore a reproduction of the Proco Rat model Big Box! Yes the very first version, now untraceable. Like its big sister, the Rat Race is equipped with the famous LM308 chip. You will therefore have a Rat that sounds more original than the current versions.

Sound level, let's talk about it!

The advantage of this pedal is its gain amplitude. At a minimum, it feels like an ultra-dynamic overdrive. At noon, we are already in the field of heavy saturation and fully we enter the field of heavy fuzz! Level control we will not be out of place, just know that the filter knob has been renamed by a more conventional Tone, as on the very first versions of the Proco Rat! Nice little nod.
