The team's opinion: Ah the Hiwatt brand… For connoisseurs, this is a piece of rock history! Their amplifiers have been used by legends like Pete Townshend and David Gilmour. So when Hiwatt decided to release a tube distortion pedal we jumped in.

This saturation starts on a light and extremely warm overdrive, to end on a fat Fuzz typed Big Muff. Depending on the settings, we manage to find Gilmour's sound on songs like "Comfortably Numb", especially on the solo. Beyond Gilmour, this pedal is capable of addressing a wide sound palette, while retaining the Hiwatt signature.

The Hiwatt Tube Distortion is an essential pedal for lovers of Classic Rock and Pop. Note that its preamplification tube gives it a welcome warmth and allows it to function as a full-fledged preamp.

This pedal is now rare on the second-hand market, the model presented here is in near new condition.
