JHS The At

The team's opinion: Finally a JHS The At! We've been looking for this one for so long! It is simply the Andy Timmons signature model. You know the brilliant guitarist credited with several appearances on the G3 with Satriani or Vai (just that). So back to this pedal! It's an Overdrive/Distortion based on an Angry Charly but with a different voicing and above all a much more edgy gain.

Of course, the inspiration is always Marshallesque, but you will see that on this model the possibilities are multiple! You can start with a light, relatively compressed crunch and end with a very powerful saturation, ideal for lead games and big, sharp rhythms.

The 3-position switch allows you to simulate a 25w/50w/100w amplifier. The latter will allow you to simulate a different Headroom. Combined with the air knob, it is easy to come up with very interesting combinations. Add to that a responsive EQ and you have a very versatile pedal, accommodating both single and double pickups. Moreover, it is interesting to note that you can almost find a sound of doubles with singles by playing on these 2 knobs.

The JHS The At is of course an excellent reference. An excellent reference but still oriented for guitarists with a modern game. A very good alternative to Keeley Stahlhammer.
