The team's opinion: I really like this Keeley Luna Overdrive. In fact, I simply love the Keeley brand, because they are constantly innovating. The reissue fashion has a bright future ahead of it, but innovation is priceless! In short, enough philosophy!
This Luna Overdrive is (you will understand) a very complete saturation pedal. It is advertised as an overdrive, but personally I found it went much further. Indeed, the LO-HI Gain switch will radically change the structure of its gain. However, my favorite side will remain the LO. The Luna can deliver a big gain but remains more comfortable in the field of crunch.
If you are looking for a light saturation, a defined crunch (open chord), I invite you to stay in LO. In this configuration, the Keeley Luna Overdrive II is at the top of the basket. All the nuances are respected and it's even more obvious with simple microphones. On the HI side, the result is not bad, far from it, but I find that the saturation quickly becomes fuzzy. This is not necessarily a bad thing but it contrasts with the sharpness of the LO side! You have been warned, friends.
This effect pedal is still close to the Fulltone Plimsoul, but retains its own identity. Find our effects pedals in test on our channel Youtube.
