The team's opinion: The Keeley Seaform is a clever mix of chorus and vibrato! The prolific American brand has accustomed us to original and qualitative effects pedals. This Seaform seems to take up the codes of the latter. So, although originally advertised as an “aquatic” chorus, the Seaform is actually a mix of 2 effects.
Thanks to a clever mix of analog and digital components, this effect pedal is able to sound “vintage” while retaining a welcome modern flexibility.
If we must remember 2 knobs on the latter, it is undoubtedly those of Depth and Rate.
The first will allow you to manage the “space” of the chorus. Indeed, at a minimum, the sound will be very slightly inflated and slightly out of phase. Conversely, if you turn it up to the maximum, the chorus will be widened to the maximum and the phase shift at its peak. Be careful not to abuse this knob!
The Second will allow you to add the vibrato effect to your chorus. It is easy to imagine the type of perched effect that can result from these manipulations.
The Keeley Seaform is a rather original effect pedal, intended for guitarists looking for a bit particular clean sounds. You will understand, this pedal is not made for heavy saturation.
The pedal offered here is in very good condition but sold without its original box. A very good alternative to Red Witch Medusa.
