The team's opinion: The Morley Diamond Distortion is an unfairly denigrated effects pedal! Indeed, when it was released in the early 90s, many people were disappointed and mainly for 2 reasons.
The first, the name distortion suits it very badly, because it's more of a sustained overdrive. Then, the Tone knob is not made to sculpt your sound but rather to match your amp! Once aware of that we arrive at a very convincing sound.
Indeed, this pedal is close to the sound of a burnt plexiglass, EVH way (definitely!), but with slightly less gain. This pedal is made to stick with an amp and not to radically change its personality.
As you will have understood, this saturation will work better with British type amps. For Classic Rock and Hard Rock it's very interesting.
Be careful, this Morley Diamond Distortion is simply huge! In terms of size, we are really in the spirit of the Big Muffs of the time. This pedal is an interesting and less common alternative to the One Control Brown.
