The team's opinion: We knew the VHT brand for its legendary amplifiers. But did you know that since their takeover, they also made effects pedals? Since the beginning of the Effects Area adventure, we have seen the VHT V-Drive and the Tremoverb pass by and the quality/price ratio of these pedals convinced us. The VHT Redline Micro 6 is not an effect pedal strictly speaking but a power amplifier. It allows you to override the amplifier section of your amp! The goal ? To offer you a light and perfectly transportable configuration! Indeed, we can consider plugging a tube preamp directly into the VHT and come out on a cabinet or a mixer! Coupled with our Seymour Duncan SPX03, the rendering was rather impressive. The 2 knobs (Volume and Tone) will allow you to increase the output volume but also to lighten or darken your sound. The Tone is therefore ideal for making a Telecaster less bright or, on the contrary, “brightening” a Les Paul. A good idea from VHT and which will satisfy guitarists who want to have a transportable rig. We recommend using an isolated output to avoid extraneous noise.
