The team's opinion: The American brand has accustomed us to efficient and easy-to-use pedals. This is the case with this Wampler reverb. The latter simulates a spring reverb, a classic effect in the history of rock but increasingly sought after. Some might criticize it for producing only one sound (spring), but we found that to be its greatest strength. No need to look long at complex settings because this pedal is very "Plug & Play". The only knobs present allow you to define the amount of reverb in the mix, its depth and the frequencies highlighted.
At a minimum, this effect pedal can remain permanently active to give more body to your sound. At maximum settings, it is possible to create a more "contemplative" but still discreet atmosphere. This Wampler reverb is the opposite of the Strymon Bluesky, offering more extreme reverbs. A very good choice for guitarists looking for a discreet but effective reverb, simple but not erased. This model is unfortunately no longer produced and is far above the "mini" edition of today!
A competitor of choice against the Malekko Spring Chicken, which will still sound more vintage. Find our test videos on our channel Malekko Spring Chicken
