The team's opinion: The Wampler Velvet Fuzz is an overdrive pedal offering a very interesting concept: Combining fuzz and distortion, which can be differentiated thanks to a very interesting clipping system!

Switch in the big position, we find ourselves in the presence of a “classic” and very thick fuzz with a certain dynamic. In the Tight position, the sound becomes more compressed and approaches a very violent distortion!

This small subtlety comes from the very design of the pedal. Indeed, the engineers at Wampler decided to mix silicon transistors and an Op Amp circuit.

One thing is certain, in addition to offering a rather unique rendering, the Wampler Velvet Fuzz has a lot of headroom! You can very well use it for a stoner/doom but also more classic style.
